HISTORY AND FUN FACTS

 "Independence Celebration on September 15th"
Year by year, we celebrate our Independence on September 16thwhen Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla gave the famous “Grito de Dolores” or “Cry of Dolores” in 1810  and declared Mexico’s independence from Spain. It is one of the most important Mexican holidays celebrated in fervor across the country.

On this day we usually wear red, white or green colors in our cloth, we also join with family, friends or both and celebrate by having dinner. We usually eat and drink the most common typical food and beverages.

Do you have any celebration like this in your country, if yes please share it with me, I'm always open to knowing about other country's traditions.

 "Ahorita" 👀 FUN FACT

Do you have any Mexican friends?, Yes?... so you already know the meaning and the lapse of time of "Ahorita".

People that show off to be Mexicans use the word “Ahorita” which would mean “right now”, “at this moment”, or “now” in English, to explain the lapse of time we need to do something.

    For example:

·         ¿A que hora vas a comer? (What time are you going to eat?)

·         Ahorita (Right now)

It is understood that “Ahorita” can mean inmediatamente, en cinco minutos o en una hora (immediately, in five minutes, or within one hour), and nobody will be bothered about it.

So if any of your Mexican friends are late and tells you “ahorita llego” (I’m almost there), you might want to wait… while sitting.

Tell me, after reading this article, Is there any word alike in your Country?, What do you think about the use that we give to this word? Will you be ready to adopt it? Leave me your comments I really want to know what you think.
